Updated Nars glosses

Recently I posted my obsession with Bobbi Brown products.  One that post I mentioned their products being better than Nars which has been my favorite brand to shop for makeup since I started the blog.
Reason for saying such things, was strictly due to their glosses.  When I first purchased the Nars orgasm gloss, I loved the color but totally dislike the consistency of the gloss on my lips, and the smell? "Yuck"! Don't get me started.  Gracefully Fracouis Nars decided to update his glosses and came out with the right consistency.
I got the gloss with a purchase of 3 Nars products for FREE at Sephora (I never need a reason to spend money on makeup).  As soon as I left the store I opened the small package to find a descent travel size gloss in "orgasm" and tried it, I must admit.... I love it!! There's no scent, or weird feeling on your lips, plus packaging is much better.

Overall, if you stopped purchasing the Nars glosses for same reasons listed above, I say give the new ones a try.  Plus Nars always has the BOMB colors in glosses, lipsticks and blushes, so "why not?!"

How to: care for curly hair

Hi loves

Caring for curly hair is a lot harder than it looks.   Keep in mind alcohol alone will dry your hair, therefore you need leave in treatments and regular cuts to make sure the hair follicle stays healthy.
Since moving to Atlanta I have only cut my hair once, which is totally abnormal for me as my routine was  to cut it every 6-8 weeks, those were the benefits of having a hair dresser you trust always helps.

My care starts in the shower where I tend to use cold water when washing my hair.  You probably ask why "cold"?  There are a few benefits to cold water, it helps clean scalp better, improves blood circulation and helps with frizziness.  Now, if you have curly hair I am sure you understand that we are willing to do ANYTHING to avoid a frizzy mess!  That is how I started washing my hair with cold water, plus it woke me up haha!

I start washing my hair with a  sea salt based shampoo I love from Lush Cosmetics called "BIG" as it helps with volume, but the salt helps clarify the scalp or any left over products that can not be rinsed with just water once I rinse I re-wash a second time with less then product and rinse again.  Then move on to the Fructis damage eraser hair butter which smells amahzing!  Yet it is infused with lots of  proteins, I let the butter sit for 5 minutes and move on to shaving and washing my face with the Clarisonic.

Once I am done in the shower, I do not use a towel to dry my hair.  The most I do is twist the water out of the shower and clip the ends up to my scalp with a soft clip.  From there I move onto the agave oil and use a sparing amount before combing hair with a wide tooth comb, where I comb the ends first and then move slowly to the top of the hair.  The Its a 10 leave in conditioner has 10 different nutrients which also helps with frizz control.

Shea moisture products are very new to my routine, which is why you see the Herbal Essence Mousse and Loreal Elnett hairspray (previous products).  The Coconut and Hibiscus products are specifically made for curly hair and they smell amazing!  What I love so far about these products is, I love how my curls are back to their natural self.  Due to the humidity and heat here in Atlanta, I was washing my hair and putting into a bun right away because I was not liking how the curls were settling.  Once I have applied the cream, mousse and shine spray I let the curls air dry, once the hair is dry I separate the curls, and try not to touch it anymore.

Hope this helps you ladies understand that these beautiful curls take lots of Tender Loving Care.

XoXo
